People are saying good things about Clever Bottle and we appreciate it.

The Clever Bottle adds subtle class to Belltown
A new wine bar called Clever Bottle has recently opened in Belltown on 2nd Avenue. Tucked between the Lava Lounge and Belltown Feed and Seed, the Clever Bottle is hardly noticeable - I was looking for it and walked right past! Step inside and you will find a quiet, chill place to have a good beer or a glass of wine, even on a Saturday night. I was very impressed with their creative wine- and beer-based cocktails, and experienced a delicious Meyer Lemon Drop (with Cava as the base) and the best Black Velvet (Elysian porter + Cava) I've ever had. Behind the bar was Max, who was ultra mellow yet friendly, with just the right amount of attentiveness. I was impressed that they carried several Page Cellars wines, but you really need to have Max make a wine cocktail for you.
With no advertising, the owner wants to keep it a word-of-mouth sort of place where the locals can have a quiet drink on a Friday or Saturday night, away from the weekend crowds. It is newly opened, and the place is a little spartan yet, but the use of candles, glass, and wood feels welcoming. They are planning to offer small plates soon, and have applied for their liquor license so that they can offer more traditional cocktails as well.
Strong points: Mellow atmosphere, awesome wine cocktails, and the wine bottle pricing is at retail - most unusual, especially in Belltown
